African Beach Safaris
Are
you thinking of a beach safari where you can soak up the warm African
sun, go boating and scuba diving, or just indulge in leisurely strolls
along soft and white sandy beaches?
Lie on endless stretches of undisturbed white sand on some of the most
remote beaches in the world, whether on the continent like the
beautiful shores of Zanzibar, Tanzania or on a private island off
Africa, like the seychelles for a truly personal beach safari.
Family beach holidays and active beach holidays are also well-catered
for in Africa, providing family-friendly accommodation, safe swimming
beaches, and some of the best scuba diving and big game fishing in the
world. When it comes to Big game fishing we prefer the tag and release
method of sport fishing. Whatever your particular beach holiday
desires, there's a sundrenched African beach holiday destination
that'll fulfil them.
Imagine brilliant blue water lapping against fine white sands, where
you can stretch and chill out. Kenya Beaches are lined with protective
coral reefs, creating ideal waters for swimming and water sports. For
the more adventurous there are diving and big game fishing. From
Mombasa in the south, through Malindi and Watumu and north to Lamu, the
traders of Arabia, Portugal, China and India have woven a special magic
through this unique coastline.
Mombasa is where the crowds are, but it's a young, funky and vibey
atmosphere and you're sure to have a great time. This is where you'll
find the larger resorts and popular beaches not to mention luxury spas
to cater to your every whim.
Happily though it's not all about the beaches: Mombasa sits at a
cultural crossroads where Africa meets both East and West. Spend the
morning on the beach and then explore the markets, alleyways and
historic ruins of Old Town.
There are many hotels along this stretch though the concentration of
the hotels thins out while moving towards Kilifi. There are various
activities on offer ranging from nature trails to fishing and golf.
North of Mombasa lies the historic and ever- popular Malindi, a town at
the centre of some of the finest tropical beaches and beach resorts in
Africa.
Blessed with enormously long, clean beaches, Malindi is also the place
in Kenya for deep sea fishing as well as some seriously good diving and
snorkelling at the Malindi Marine National Park.
The small historic coastal town of Lamu with narrow winding streets,
old mosques, colourful markets and uses donkeys and dhows for transport
rather than vehicles.
The slow pace of life here, magnificent beaches and the rich culture
make this an exotic place to visit where time seems to stand still. The
perfect place for honeymooners and couples.
Whatever destination you are thinking for your beach safari, let as guide you to the best African beach safari experiences.
